Tell us about your child
Their first name, their age and what they love — dinosaurs, football, space. Every story is theirs.
For families keeping a language alive
You choose the mix — a sprinkle of Italian or nearly all of it. Every story stars your child, meets them where they are, and gently carries more Italian as they grow.
Polish, Welsh, German, Portuguese… whatever your family speaks
All English
All Italian
Five minutes a night. You stay in charge of the mix; the stories do the growing.
Their first name, their age and what they love — dinosaurs, football, space. Every story is theirs.
Start with a sprinkle of Italian woven into English, or go further. You're in control, and you can change it any time.
After each story, one tap: too easy, just right or too hard. When your child is ready, the stories carry a little more Italian — and you can watch their words grow.
Slide the mix: the same story, from a sprinkle of Italian to mostly Italian. Tap any line to see it in English, so nobody gets stuck, child or parent.

Print this pageA sample story, written to show each level. Every family's stories are made for their own child, in their own language.
No scores, no drills, nothing to master. Just tonight's story, one tap of feedback, and words that quietly add up.
No drills, no scores. Just a story at the end of the day, in the language your family wants to keep.
One tap shows the whole sentence in the other language, so a sleepy child — or a rusty parent — never loses the thread.
Stories can carry the festivals, food and sports your family lives with — La Befana, Sunday lunch at Nonna's, match day — plus the words only your family says. You choose; we never assume.
Every story prints as a lovely page. Make it in the day, read it from paper at night.
Native speakers of Italian review our stories, so the language is correct and natural. Safety checks on every story. No ads, ever.
Their name, the things they love, and a new story every night. Not a catalogue.
A gentle progress view: the Italian words your child has met, how often, and how far you've come together — Sprinkle to Phrases and beyond.
Mixing languages is how bilingual homes have always talked. Studies have found children pick up new words from mixed-language stories as well as from single-language ones. What the research says

Mixing is how bilingual homes have always talked, and research on bilingual families doesn't support the worry. Recent studies found children can learn new words from mixed-language stories as well as from single-language ones — and in one study they needed fewer repetitions to remember them.

Neither do we. Every story has a print-ready version — make it during the day, read it from paper at night.
Very much so. Start at Sprinkle — mostly English with a few words of your language — and tap any line to see the whole sentence. Plenty of parents find they grow alongside their child.
We're opening language by language, and the families on the waitlist decide the order. Pick yours on the form, whatever it is. The stories on this page are just examples.
If your language has regional varieties (Spain or Latin American Spanish, European or Brazilian Portuguese), choose the one your family speaks. Every language is checked by native speakers before it opens.
Every story passes safety checks before your child sees it, and native speakers review our stories so the language is right. No ads, ever, and nothing is ever advertised to your child.

We're a small team, and we started Fluent Family with a question that gets harder every school year: how do you keep a family language alive once English becomes the easy choice?
Lessons feel like homework. Bilingual books are the same book for every child, at one fixed level. So we're building the bedtime story we think families like ours need: made for your child, and carrying a little more of your language whenever they're ready for it.
We're building it carefully and in small batches, with native speakers reading the language before it reaches your child. Join the waitlist and you'll hear from us directly. Every reply is read by a real person on the team.
